Police investigating two separate rape claims
POLICE were yesterday investigating two separate reports of rape in Limassol and Paphos, one involving a 75-year-old suspect.
In the first case a 24-year-old housekeeper reported to police that she was raped by the 75-year-old at around midnight on September 4.
The woman said she was raped again by the suspect earlier this month and was also beaten.
The man was remanded in custody for two days.
In Limassol, a 31-year-old said she was raped by a man, 59, while working at a shop.
The woman said the incident happened at 10.30 on Friday morning.
She was examined by state pathologist Eleni Antoniou who found bruises on various parts of her body.
Police arrested the 59-year-old who was later remanded in custody for five days.
